First a HUGE thank you for all the lovely comments on my kids post. They love when they get home and see all the comments.
But today its all about me lol, no not really.. Its friday and time for the new challenge over on
This weeks theme is
A really fun theme I think. Pop over on the link above for all the details .
Our Sponcers this week is Stamping Dragon Design.
Here is my DT card for this week.
Image was printed and coloured with Promarkes.
I then cover the whole image with Versamark and with clear imbossing powder. Once melted, I did it again. I added 5 layers of embossing power.
I left the image to cool down COMPLETELY, very important or the next step wont work.
You could even leave it in the fridge for a while.
Anyway, while the image was cooling, I got on with the matting and layering my card.
I made the base card from green A5 card stock, just bended in half.
Matted with white card stock and then with the same green as the base. The last layer I roughed up a bit with a distressing tool.
Then on to the fun part.
I took the now cooled image and started gently "breaking" it. Just bend the image back and the embossing will crack. Some places more then others but it look reall good. I then took my distress ink and ran over the image and on the roughed up edges. Gives it a real vintage took.
I added the image to the card, added the greeting and gems and voila, all done..
Hope you all like my card, and THANK YOU for stopping by.
HUGE hugs, Marleen xxx
