Sleigh ride - Colourific Inspiration

Hello Everyone
and welcome to my blog.

Once again wednesday and my turn to share some inspiration using the amazing stamps from Colourific.

For todays card I've used the "Santa's Sleigh" set.

Once again a very simple card.
I started with a black piece of card stock which I ran through my big shot with an embossing folder.

I then stamped, also on black card stock, the sleigh with versamark ink and heat set it using gold embossing powder.
I die cut the greeting and the holly for the corner and heat set them as well with the same gold embossing powder.

I finished by creating a mat, using the same embossing powder, by just swiping my versamark pad around the edges and heatsetting the powder.

And that is all from me for today.

Stitched Friends in the snow - Colourific Inspiration.

Hello Everyone
and welcome to my blog.

Today I want to share a quick little card I made with stamps from Colourific.
Annelies have a great selection of stamps in the STORE, but the "Stitched Friends" are one of my favourite sets.. I have also used the "Christmas Minis" set for my card today.

For this little card I started by making a background of snow. Its made by simply tearing a piece of copy paper into something that resembles mountains. Then simply swipe your blending tool, starting on the paper and out onto your card, so you build up colour. Move the paper around and repeat till you get the desired effect.

I used the "Spotty Background" stamp to create the snowfall on the background. I simply stamped with versamark ink and set with white embossing powder.

My little stitched snowman is stamped and coloured with watercolour pencils on to water colour card stock, as is my little robin.
The candy cane I stamped with red distress ink and just dragged a bit of the stamped colour around.

I added them all to my snow background with foam tape, mounted the background at an angle on to my mat and then stuck to my card.
And that is all from me for today.

A snowy scene - Colourific Inspiration

Hello Everyone
and welcome to my blog.

For this weeks Colourific Inspiration I have gone all snowy.
In honest, I'm an autumn baby so October and November are my favourite months.. but you cant beat a bit of snow lol

For this weeks project I used a selection of colourific stamps, you can find them all in the STORE.

Ive used:
Sentiment (from the Christmas minis set)
Snowman (from the stitched Friends set)
Snow background (the Spotty background stamp)
Robbin (from the Christmas Minis set)
Candy cane (from the Santa's Sleigh set)

For this card I made a snowy background by first stamping my spotty background stamp, using versamark ink, and heat setting with clear embossing powder.

I then made a hill stencil from a piece of copy paper and used distress ink to create the hills.
I stamped, coloured and fuzzy cut my snowman, candy cane and robin and added them all on foam pads.
I stamped and die cut my sentiment and die cut a few Christmas trees to finish the card.

And that is all from me for today.

Christmas is coming - Colourific Inspiration

Hello Bloggers
and welcome to my blog

It's once again wednesday and my turn to share some inspiration for Colourific.
For today I have a couple of christmas cards to share using a few of the christmas stamps. Its never too early to start the christmas cards is it? lol You can find the stamps I've used and all the other fantastic stamps in the STORE.
For my cards today, I have used the following:
A6 -Holly & Berries Background
A6 - Xmas text Background
A5 Stitched Friends

Both cards has been made the same way. I started by stanping the background strips with the background stamps. The red one is coloured with distress oxide "mop up" and the green one was coloured with water colour pencils. Both of my stiched friends was stamped, coloured and fuzzy cut before being added on top of a die cut circle from vellum.

And that is pretty much it.. If you wanted to take this card to the next level, you could finish it with a few gems and even a greeting but I tend to keep my christmas cards extra simple.

And that is it from me for today.

Colourific Inspiration - Colourful Christmas Card

Hello Beautiful People
and welcome to my blog.

Its once again my turn to share a bit of inspiration for
Colourific.

I have once again used the  "Stitched Friends" for my main image. I love this little snowman.
My sentiment is from the
"Christmas time text set.
My Background has been made using the tiny star stamps from the "Princess Carriage" set.
For some reason my close up pictures have dissapeared from my pc and my phone, I do appologise but hope you can still see the card ok.

This card was really fun to make. I started with my snowman which I stamped on to watercolour cardstock, then coloured with watercolour pencils. I finished him with lots of glitterglue lol.

While he was drying I made my background. I just took a white piece of cardstock and stamped all the little stars with different colours till I had built up the whole space.
I stamped using distress oxide inks.
Once all way dry, I matted and layered onto red cardstock and finished with my little greeting.
And that was all. Very easy and turned out very cute I think

Colourific Inspiration - quick 1 layer christmas card

Hello Beautiful People
and welcome to my blog.

Its once again my turn to share a bit of inspiration for
Colourific.

I have another Christmas card for you today using my little Christmas tree.. Can you tell he's my favourite?? lol

I tend to make my Christmas cards very simple.. I make and send roughly 60-80 card each year so I need them to be fast. Also I'm very well aware that after Christmas they all pretty much end in the bin (which is OK) so they have to be cost effective as well..

The card I've made for today fit that bill perfect. Minimal supplies, quick to make, yet cute and christmassy.

As I said, a very simple card. Ive used the "Stitched Friends" stamp set and my greeting is from the "Christmas time text" set.

I used watercolour card stock for this card. I stamped my tree with versamark ink and heat set the image with black embossing powder. Once cooled I coloured with watercolour pencils. Its hard to see in the pictures but I always colour a light blue shadow around the image. I stamped my greeting, also with versamark ink and also heat set with black embossing powder.

I finished the card with a mat of gold mirricard before sticking it to my card blank.

And that is all for today. Hope you like my wee card.

The little christmas tree.. Colourific Inspiration.

Hello Beautiful People
and welcome to my blog.

Its once again my turn to share a bit of inspiration for
Colourific.

My mojo has been on a holiday for the last few months.. Ya I know, it happens to us all but its so disheartening lol.. Lucky for me I normally craft in bulk so always have a card or 2 lying to share if need be but yesterday I decided to have another attempt at creating..
My little girl was home with a cold so we stuck on a Christmas movie (yes I know its only November, but Christmas should be all year in my book hehehe) and crafted away together..

And lo and behold, I came up with a couple of cards that I'm happy with.

This little card is a bit on the darker side I think but it has a bit of sparkle too it that brightens it a bit.
My card blank and my background is both craft card. I used the "Stitched Friends" stamp set for my topper and the "Christmas Text" stamp for my background.

I started by heat embossing the background with clear embossing powder. I repeated this till I had the whole background done. I then added distress ink around the edges. This really makes the embossing stand out. I then stamped and coloured my little tree. I stamped on to watercolour card stock and heat set it with black embossing powder. I coloured with watercolour pencils.

I matted and layered my background on to gold mirri card and finished with a black heat embossed sentiment also on gold mirri card. The greeting is also from the stitched friends set.

And that is all for today. Hope you like my wee card.

Colour Crazy Challenge Blog - Guest Designer - CAS Christmas Bear

Hello Beautiful People
And welcome to my blog.

Todays post is another Guest Design Team I have been invited to join.
This one is called
Colour Crazy
Thanks for having me guys xx

Its a weekly challenge with an "Anything Goes" theme, as long as you colour your images. But pop over to the blog for all the rules and regulations.

I have joined the Design Team this for this weeks challenge and used a digital image from Crafty Sentiments called "Herbie the Bear"

With this little bear I decided to have a go at a CAS (Clean and simple) card. Its something I never really feel I got the hang off. Ever so Often I give it a go but end up with a card I think is bland. However, my daughter thought it was very clean and elegant yet Herbie makes it cute, so I decided to submit it.

I started by printing Herbie on to watercolour cardstock. I left him to dry over night. I then cut him so he fitted in the corner of my card size (140x100mm). I stamped my greeting which is from a magazine freebie stamp set, as is the holy, and coloured the lot in with water colour pencils.

I finished by layering him onto a red mat and mounted him to my card blank.
And that is it. For all the details of the challenge pop over to the blog.

FranticStamper Inspiration.

Hi Blogger Friends

Its once again my turn to share a bit of inspiration for my guest DT,
FranticStamper.

Im using the November release called A life of Love and Music. Its a beautiful collection of dies and stamps. Visit the STORE to see the full collection.

For this card, I teamed this months release with last months. (Find it HERE)
Last month was the beautiful christmas collection and it just suit so perfect with these music stamps.

My background is distress ink and the FRA-CLG-B033 Bit of music stamp which I heat embossed in gold. I then cut the FRA-DIE-103255 Layered Tree die and the FRA-DIE-10342 Joy die from white card stock. I coloured all the parts of the tree and the letters with distress ink and added to my card.
The tree comes as seperate dies and needs to be layered up to make the tree. I love this as it gives real dimention when you layer the pieces up. On my tree on this card, I used silicone glue so the tress really stands out again the beautiful music background.

This one was very simple to make but really stands out due to the colours and the beautiful die I've used for the background.
My background is simply distress ink and then water stamped with the FRA-CLG-B033 Bit of music stamp. I then repeatedly die cut the FRA-DIE-10354 Musical Heart die and just glued each die cut strait to my background. I finished with FRA-DIE-10351 Love and Kisses die, which I cut and triple heat embossed in gold, layered onto a piece of vellum.

And that is it for today. Thank you for popping by and for any comments left behind.

FranticStamper Inspiration - Beautiful Snowflakes

Hello Bloggers
and welcome to my little slice of the www..

Time for my last post this month for
FranticStamper
where I am so lucky to be part of the guest DT.

Its all about Christmas this month and I have used a selection of dies from the October release. Find them all in the STORE.

For these cards I have used the following dies.
Alpine Snowflake - FRA-DIE-10337
Snowflake Border - FRA-DIE-10335
JOY Letters - FRA-DIE-10342

This card was actually the first I made when i recieved all the dies. The idea came as soon as I saw it and I love how it came out. Its a classic design that could be recreated over and over.

I simply took the alpine snowflake die and cut out the snowflake from my card panel.I then took the panel, added foam take and added it to my silver mat and then to my card blank.
I then took my diecut snowflake and lay it in the the hole it had created, and I also put back in, the little snowflakes.

I diecut the snowflake one more time in silver just to get the little snowflakes and I added them around my big snowflake. I finished with a few gems.

This card is my favorite of all the ones Ive made for FranticStamper this month. I LOVE using unconventional colours for christmas and oraange isnt really what I would say a christmas colour. But I teamed it with lots of the alpine snowflakes and goldembossing powder. I kept all the little snowflakes white to make them stand out and my JOY greeting is also covered in gold embossing powder but layed onto of a vellum strip to make it stand out a bit.

 And last but not least..
A mirri card strip where I die cut the snowflake border. I added the strip to my card blank with foam tape to give it debth. I had kept all the small pieces in the die, so I added glue to each little bit, turned my die over and popped it back into the mirri card strip, and then simply pressed each little dot down onto the card. It took a bit of time but the result is stunning.
I used a greeting from my stash and stamped it onto vellum and added gems as my finishing touch.

And that is all from me today. Thank you for popping by and for any comments left behind.

Frantic Stamper Inspiration.. Penguins

Hey Blogger Friends

Once again my turn to share some inspiration for
FranticStampers.

I am using dies from the October New Release and you can find the dies Ive used and many more goodies over in the FranticStamper STORE.

Today, I have used the "Joy - FRA-DIE-10342" and the "Peeking Penguins - FRA-DIE-10330" dies.

Both cards are pretty much the same as they are both shaker cards.
The penguin die cuts out the image as a window so it really lends itself to shaker cards.
With this card, I started with a blue card blank. I cut a white panel to fir over the card, leaving a little border around. Then I simply cut my penguins. I added accetate being the diecut penguins and added lots of foam tape on the back. I then lay my beads and sequins in the middle of my card and added the penguins on top. I finished by die cutting my "joy" greeting and glued it on to the front of my card.

This card is really made the same way as above. Only difference is that I used a red cardblank and I used a stamp from my stash for the greeting.
I also gave the penguins a black jacket. I did this by die cutting the penguins from black card stock and then simply cut out their jackets. It was ery easy and it looks fun.

And that is all from me today. Thank you for popping by and for any comments left behind.

FranticStamper Inspiration

Hello Bloggers

Its once again my turn to share some inspiration for

Im once again using dies from the October New Release and you can find the dies Ive used and many more yummy goodies oover in the STORE
For my cards today, I have used the dies called:
  • Script Season's Greetings - Fra-Die-10331
  • Snowflake border - Fra-Die-10335
This one here is a play with distress ink mixed with a shaker card.
I made the pink background by just adding ink to my card and splashing with water to make the puddles. I then diecut my greeting from my background and once again, just from white card stock.
I stuck some accetate behind the hole in my pink background and added foam tape on the back to keep my little beads inside. I then added my white greeting into where the pink greeting should have been and Voila... I finished with a few gems.

**********************

These next 2 cards is really a "2 for 1" kind a card.
I made the background on the top card first. I cut 10 of the snowflake border from a silver card stock. I then took a piece of card (size 105mm x 145mm, same size as my card blank), covered it in double sided sticky sheet and removed the backing paper.
I stuck the snowflake borders to my card so I got an even coverage and trimmed the edges.
This however still left me with all the gaps, still sticky, on my card. But here is why I used the sticky sheet.. I filled all the gaps with glitter. It looks so pretty and shiney.

Anyway, background done.. So now I took a circle die and cut out a nice big hole in my background..
And that is how I got 2 for 1..

For this card I used the background itself. I die cut my greeting from both silver and black card stock and glue them together off set. This gives the black egde behind the greetings.

For this one I added a piece of the same silver card stock I used for the snowflakes, down the centre of my card. I added foam tape behind my circle and used black card stock to cut my sentiment from.

And that is it for today. 3 cards using only 2 dies.
Thank you for popping by and for any comments left behind.
