Scrapper Delights Challenge "Birthday"

Hi everyone...

God its been a while since I blogged last. Apart from a scheduled post the other day, its been nearly 2 weeks. I wish I could tell you all that I had been on some lovely holiday, but unfortunatly no.
We have had a family emergency, with a family member critically ill in hospital. Thank god it all ended well and we can all now breathe easy again.

So that brings me onto today's post.

The new challenge goes live today over on

The theme is:
"Birthday"

I wasnt sure I was gonna make the deadline (well I am quite late) but with a quiet morning today, I managed to get this little card out together. And even though its a quick make, I really like it.

As speed was essential this morning, I used an image that was already printed. I coloured it in using the "one-colour" method.
It basicly is you only coloring the shadows of your image. I chose a light blue first, but found it too cold, so added the light pink on top. I desided then to still use the blue, so used a shade darker blue for the bands on her clothes. Then blend it with the ivory and your blender to get a suttle look.
I love this way of colouring. Not only does it looks stunning, its also great if your in a bit of a hurry.

Anyway, I hope you all like my card.
THANK YOU for stopping by and for any comments left behind.
Big Hugs, Marleen xxx
