A little bit of christmas..

Good morning my friends...

I finally made it into the craft room last night. Between pc work, house work and sick kids, I never made it in all last week. Im sure you could all hear my craft room screaming in loneliness :-)
I must say, it was WONDERFUL to finally sit down and get all inky and messy, it was just what I needed. So this morning I would like to share the christmas card I made last night.
My inspiration came from Tim Holtz.. Im a huge fan of his work and all his products, but i find them to be too expencive so i only have a few of his products. I did however made it to a craftshow in Belfast at the weekend, and I splashed out on a few bits. One of my buys was his ink tool, you know the one with the wee sponges on. Fantastic. In the past I always used make-up sponges but could never get the effect hence why I in the end bought one. Now I dont know how I ever managed without...
Anyway, last night I sat and played wiyh my new tool and this it what I ended up with...

What I used:
  • Card blank and white card
  • "Christmas Fancy" papers from Dovecrafts
  • Christmas stamp, versamark watermark stamp pad and gold impossing powder
  • Distress ink and tool from Tim Holtz
  • swirls dies
  • Ribbon, sentiment, gems and the wee snowman from stach.
 What I did:
  • Cut a piece of paper to cover the card blank, leaving a wee edge. Ink the edges with the distress ink and tool.
  • Cut a strip of matching paper, crunch and ink, then attach to the card.
  • Stamp the image with versamark and imboss with the gold imbossing powder. Ink up the sides of the image. Crunch up the image and ink the chunches. Straiten the image out again and mat onto white card.
  • Cut out the swirls and attatch  to the back og the image so they overlap the front.
  • Attach the image to the card, ive used 1mm foampads.
  • Tie a bow and add to the card and stick on a little embelishment in the center.
  • Add the gems and the sentiment.

Hope you all like my wee card, and THANK YOU stopping by my blog. I appriciate any comments...
