Colourific is going to Hochanda

Hello everyone
and welcome to my blog.

A very exciting post for me to share today.
COLOURIFIC IS GOING TO HOCHANDA
Im so excited to see Annelies and my teamie Alice demoing, and sharing with you all, the amazing stamps from Colourific.
They will be on Hochanda on Sunday 26th of January at 12 noon.
Dont miss it :-)
(The new stamps wont be in the Colourific store till after the show, but do pop over and check out all the other amazing stams)

But let me share with you one of the samples Ive made for the show.
The stamps are amazing.

This one is a journal page and I used a couple of the new stamps sets for it.
I used:

  • A5 Zen Ladies B
  • A6 Whispering Hearts

    I also used
  • Jornal page
  • Distress inks
  • Distress Sprays
  • Distress Crayons
  • Tim holtz Stencils
  • Clear paste
  • Mister with water
  • Diecut Sentiment
  • Gilding wax
  • Archival black ink pad & stamping blocks
I started by making my background. There isnt much rhyme or reason to it really. A few sprays here, a bit of crayon through a stancil there. A bit of water here and there..
Its why I love making journal pages. I really just have fun with the colours.

I added the clear paste through a stencil to get the measuring tapes done and left that to dry. Once dry I stamped my Zen lady and added my hearts.

My hearts are from the Whispering Hearts stamp set. I simply stamped them onto scrap pieces of card, coloured with distress ink and cut them out.

I finished the project with a diecut greeting from my stash and a bit of guilding wax here and there.
And that is all from me for today.

Thank you for popping by and for any comments left behind.

BeeCrafty Inspiration.. Banksy

Hello dear bloggers..

Today's post is once again for BeeCrafty.
I have 2 cards to share today. They were made for the last Banksy Inspired show the Bee's had on Hochanda. Sadly, as I live in Ireland, sometimes the turnover time is just too short and our posties just cant run fast enough, resulting in my samples not making it to the Bee's in time. That was the case with these samples. I showed them on my Facebook at the time of the show, but I never blogged them. So today, while waiting for the Bee's to be back on the tellybox tomorrow, I thought would be a good time to share these..

This one is made on water colour cardstock. I added distress ink direct to my acrylic block and gently misted with water. I then took my card and lay over the block. Left the card for a sec or two before peeling back off again. Once my card was dry I stamped my Banksy girl and my sentiment. I finished with a black pen to draw the outline border and a pink mat.

Find all the goodies I've used for both cards HERE in the Beecrafty store..

This card is top of my list of favorites I've ever spat out.. I know, self praise is no praise and that is ok but I love how this came together..

Its a card thats come together from several times of playing. The background paper itself is made with the shaving foam tecnique. Once the paper was dry and aired I cut it into strips, Mixed up the strips and added them to another pice of paper and cut to size. By mixing the strips up I broke up the design but as the colours was so gentle it didnt matter.

I then took the sun dinkable and made my sun and then did all my stamping. I used black archival ink and I tend to use my misty stamping tool just to get a more crisp image, but an acrylic block will do the job just as well.
I finised with a black mat and that was it.

And that is it for today. Thank you for popping by and for any comments left behind.

BeeCrafty Inspiration.. Hexagon

Hey again bloggers..

Wednesday again and im back with another bit of inspiration for
BeeCrafty..

Todays card was made for the last BeeCrafty show on Hochanda. Bev had the safari animals on, but on the list provided (to the DT) of goodies we could use was the Easy Frames. I love those stencils.. Find the full selection in the STORE..

So for this card I used the Hexagon, outie.. I simply lay down the stencil and used distress ink through.I remeoved the stencil and then took a selection of the Dinkables, layed them over the ink and strayed with water.I mopped some of the water up with a paper towel, removed the Dinkables and sprayed a bit more water.. just to make sure the colours really smudged. Once my background was dry again, I went back in with the Dinkables, but this time used a white gel pen and drew some of the pattern through. I then took a black gel pen and hand drew around the Hexagons. I finished with my greeting, heat embossed with white embossing powder on to black card and a black mat.

And that is it for today. Thank you for popping by and for any comments left behind.

BeeCrafty Inspiration - MDF Tag

Hey Bloggers..

Just a quick post with a bit of inspiration for BeeCrafty..

For this weeks post I've made an MDF Tag.
I've also used a selection of stamps from the BeeCrafty STORE:
I started by adding the Lavender Quarts Lustre Luxe to my tag. I then added Purple Pearl Lustre Luxe through the Dinkable. I used archival ink to do all my stamping apart from my script stamp (which I just realised is very hard to see on the pic) with which I used Distress Oxide in Shaded Lilac.

And thats it really. It looks class but was really easy to make.
And that is it for today. Thank you for popping by and for any comments left behind.

Brand New Art Stamps from BeeCrafty..

Hello dear Blogger Friends..

Im late today with my post.. It dawned on me at 3.30pm today that it was wednesday and my turn to share for BeeCrafty.. And by then it was mummy duty.. Sooooo better late then never I suppose but I dont like messing things up..

Anyway.. Did you see Bev on Hochanda yesterday?? She had some brand new art stamps to show.. They are really amazing.. Very different, nothing like I've seen before..
They are really class so DO pop over in the STORE to have a nosy at them..

Sadly due to the snow and dear storm Emma, my stamps only landed the day before the show. Im used to having to work fast as I live in Ireland, (the rest of the team and the Bee's are in the UK), so delivery time and return time is longer for me, but this time not even my super speediest speed was gonna make it lol..
But I was still gonna have a play and I have made a couple of projects I want to share..

This one is distress ink, more distress ink through a Dinkable and then just stamped the Art stamp and greeting strait on. Matted and layered and voila..
This one is Lustre Luxe on a MDF tag. the more I play with these Lustre Luxe the better Im getting at blending them. They arent meant for blending as such so must admit Im loving the results im getting. Anyway, more Lustre through another Dinkable and then just stamping and black embossing powder..
A very simple one this one is.. Just a fade of distress ink, distress ink through Dinkables and stamping..

This one is my favorite of the samples I made. I made a circle card and used distress ink to create the "sun" look. I think it looks a bit like a night sky. I was inspired by the stamp for this one. The fact that the stamp can be turned any direction you'd like, the circle card can also be turned as you wish..
I used Lustre Luxe through the Dinkables to get a bit of shimmer and shine..

And that is it for today. Thank you for popping by and for any comments left behind.

BeeCrafty on Hochanda.. Banksy..

Hey Bloggers..

Sam from BeeCrafty was on Hochanda yesterday (Tuesday 27/02-2018) with some amazing goodies..
A huge selection of Banksy stamps, Background stamps, the Dinkables and some brand new MDF.

Sadly due to illness I had to sit this one out but as soon as I could drag myself out of bed I managed to get a few cards made and I thought I'd share some of them today.

This one is made with a watercolour background, sparkle paste through the star Dinkable and using both sizes of the "Decision to try" stamp.

This background is made with acrylic paint sprays, Sparkle paste, Lustre Luxe and the drop Dinkable. Sentiment "Dreams come true" is made the same way.

This one is a Gelli plate background and then stamping with the Brick background stamp.
I used the "Girl watering Aerial" banksy stamp. The stamp was'nt wide enough to cover the bottom of my card so I inked up a bit of the base of the stamp and extended the "greenery". I finished again with the "Dreams come true" stamp.

Right last one for today.. This one is an A5 and the background is a "mop up" of Distress ink.
I used the Circle Inkable as well as the Heart Dinkable to create a bit of debth on my card. I once again used the "Dreams come true"sentiment and used the Banksy "Caught in the rain" stamp.
I extended some of the rain lines with a black pen as I wanted the girl and the sentiment to kind a flow together.

And that is it for today. Thank you for popping by and for any comments left behind.

My first post Bloobel Design..

Hello bloggers..

I'm so delighted to announce that I have landed a place on the Blooble Digital Design team. I wanted to get back to colouring, something I have let slide for a long time. Lisa, the designer, is a very talented lady and her designs are not like anything else out there..

So sharing the first card Ive made, using the image called "Inappropriate Cat". You can find it HERE in the Bloobel STORE.

For this one I used a stencil to create my background. Simple distress ink through the stencil. And then just a bit more ink around the edges. My cat was coloured with colouring pencils and then fuzzy cut and I finished by stamping my sentiments, matting and layering and a few gem.

And that is it for today. Thank you for popping by and for any comments left behind.

BeeCrafty Inspiration - Lustre Luxe cards..

Hello Bloggers

Once again my turn to share a bit of inspiration for
BeeCrafty.

For today I have been playing with my Lustre Luxe. They are a constant fixture on my crafty table along side my inks. They are so versatile. They can be used for so many things. For today I have used them on 2 cards. I used them with the Easy Frames Inkable stencils. I love these basic shapes.

Both cards has been made the same way.

My backgrounds has been made by simply adding my stencil and adding lustre luxe through. I left each shape to dry for a few seconds before adding the next but Lustre Luxe drys very fast so it wasnt a problem.

I added my sentiments to a strip of black card stock and heatset it with silver embossing powder. I finished by matting and layering on black cardstock and a few gems on each and Voila..

And that is it for today. Thank you for popping by and for any comments left behind.

Art Journaling and a Lustre Luxe Tag..

Hey Bloggers
And Happy New Year to you all..
My first blog post of the year is for
BeeCrafty.

Over the holiday, I took a wee break from crafting as my mojo has been hiding for a while. In order to kick start the mojo a wee bit I decided to try out a bit of art journaling. Its not something I do often but I was inspired by my teamie Jane and her amazing art journaling.. Mine is only beginner pieces compared to Jane's so do pop over to see her amazing journal.

I started colouring the whole page with purple Lustre Luxe. I used the easy frame circle stencil as well as few of the Dinkables to add more colours of Lustre Luxe. For the 2 suns I added the Lustre Luxe with a wee spatula so its raised, just like using paste. For all the circles I just used blending foam.
And then it was really just doodling. I used a white gel pen as well as a black sharpie.
I did think of adding a greeting but decided just to leave it.. But you never know,  might go back to it lol...

Right, while I was playing I went for a second page. This one is using the circle wire style frames with Oxide inks. I also used the feather and the spotty Dinkable. I finished with the "Angry Bubbles" sentiment stamp.

Well that is really it for today, but before I go I want to share a few tips for using Lustre Luxe..
Let me post a few pics and I'll explain as we go..

I made these 2 little tags, but I didn't like the border I made down the bottom, but stamped with Archival ink, the ink was gonna come off.

So I decided to cover up the tag and start over.
1st coat of Lustre Luxe going on, already great cover..

2nd coat, only the black showing through..

And the full tag now covered.. It took 4 thin coats of Lustre Luxe to fully cover and no tag wasted..
Now.. Tip no 1:
Leave each coat to dry for a few mins. Lustre Luxe pretty much drys instantaneously but I find that if you leave it for a few minutes, the next coat goes on a bit smoother.

 Before and after..
After my tag was dry I used a shimmer spray made also from Lustre Luxe to add the gold shimmer and then the circle wire style frames with Oxide inks.
The shimmer spay is made by filling a mini mister with water (fillit only half way with luke warm water) and a wee lump of Lustre Luxe. Shake well.
Tip 2: Empty out your mini mister after use and clean mister well as I left mine and mister was all clogged up.
And that is it for today. Thank you for popping by and for any comments left behind.

FraticStamper - Scrappage

Hey Bloggers

My turn to share some inspiration for my Guest DT for

Today i have teamed the egyptian dies with the British dies and paperdoll and made a fun little scrappage of my "baby". Abbie is 7 now so not a baby any more but she is my youngest so will always be the baby lol

Make sure you pop over to the STORE to see the full collection. There is something for everyone..

I have started to scrap onto A4 instead of 12x12. I dont scrap often anymore, simply due to time, but once in a while I take the time to create a memory like this.

These "around the world" dies just fitted this picture of Abbie so well. She is standing on "our" road leading from our house to her grandparents house. She always loved walking up to visit grandma and Grandpa. Sadly they are both in heaven now, but the house is still in the family so the journey isnt over and the memories lives on.

This page is made using a couple of stencils from my stash. Im afraid I dont know what companies they may be from as I take them out of the packaging and store them in a folder. BUt I used several with a bit of distress ink through. I then diecut all the dies I wanted and coloured them with distress ink. Then it was a simple matter of layering them up how I wanted and stick them to the LayOut.

A very simple page but hey if you visit my blog regularly, you will know that that is simply just my style lol

And that is it for today. Thank you for popping by and for any comments left behind.

BeeCrafty Inspiration -

Hello Bloggers..

My turn to share a bit of inspiration for
BeeCrafty.

Bev was on Hochanda last Friday with the Banksy XL's and some fab new goodies. New backdrop stamps, new MDF and new Dinkables.
Find all the goodies in the STORE

Here is my samples, sadly they didnt make it back to the Bee's in time to make the show, but hope they can still provided a bit of inspiration.
For my first samples I had a play with the skyline stencils and one of the brand new dinkable, the Bats.. Oh how I love this stencil.. Card is simple distress ink through the stencils.

For this one I made a background using oxide inks and stamped with one of the new Backdrop stamps. I used a couple of MDF cogs, painted with Lustre Luxe to add on top.

Another Oxide background. I stamped my Banksy boy and girl, and then used the Dinkable that looks like a sun to create some shadows around them. I finished using the spotty dinkabel with distress ink.

Another Distress Ink background. I then used the Ghetto blaster boy but I stamped him of the page and repeatedly. I finished with some water splashes and a wee sentiment.

And then there is the new MDF. The doorhangers. I love these.
For both of these I used Lustre Luxe to colour. For the cogs, I used a trick Sam showed on her last Hochanda show. She mixed the colours of Lustre Luxe together. So I decided to try this out and managed to make this stunning brown colour. I used Oxide inks to stamp the subtle backgrounds and I finished with a few bits from my stash.

And that is it for today. Thank you for popping by and for any comments left behind.
