Dragons Lair Design - A Taste of Summer - June Guest spot

Hey Blogger Friends..

Time for my last post this month for
Dragons Lair Design.

For this post I have once again used the Digital kit called "A taste of Summer".
Just pop over to the digital STORE and you'll find the kit right there on the front page ;-)

Please forgive the white blob. My children has requested not to have their pictures posted on social media anymore.

This LO (LayOut) is made by simply printing the papers and elements from the kit.

I print in "Word" by simply copy and pasting the bits I want.
When doing this however all the papers in the kit print in 7x7 and as I scrap in either A4 or 12x12 I used the direct "print" option on my pc. I simply just right click on the paper I wanted printed and pressed print. The PC then pop up with a selection of sizes I can print in and I just chose the A4 option. Now I must admit that this does however mean that the PC automaticly crops the image to fit so you loose some of the design, but as it was a "plainish" design I felt it didnt matter for this project.

After printing I simply layered up my papers. The brown circles in the background are die cuts and coloured with distress ink. The corners are also diecut from the papers as is the border under the picture.
The letters, the washi tape and the different gems are from my stash.

I had a few bits left over from the kit after finishing my scrappages so I made a wee card too.
Apaprt from my sentiment (which is an actual stamp) everything is printed from the kit, cut out and layered up.

And that is all from me for today.
Many thanks for popping by and for any comments left behind.

Dragons Lair Design - Vintage Letters

Hey bloggers

A quick post today to share an LO (LayOut) Ive made for
Dragons Lair Design.

Its made with the "Vintage Letters" kit. A beautiful kit and you can find it in the digital STORE with all the other digital kits and stamps. Pop over to the store now as there happen to be a 30% reduction on this kit for a few days ;-)

I am a "Paper ONLY" kind a scrapper but I have to say I DO love the digital kits. I LOVE that I can simply print the bits and bobs from the kit that I want and not having to worry about storing the rest.
A bit of space on my PC is all it takes.

This LO is of my maternal grandmother. Sadly she passed away nearly 10 years ago but we all still miss her. I havent got many photoes of her (must go raid my mums collection hehe) but this one is one of my favorites. We were deep in conversation at my "goodbye" party. (I moved to London from Copenhagen with my now Husband) We had such great craic I didnt even notice hubby was walking around snapping pictures of us all. A cherised moment I have never been able/ready to scrap.
Until now :-)

Anyway.. As always I print in "Word" by simply copy and pasting.
I added gold embossing powder through a stensil on my backing sheet and all the letters are from my own stash. The rest is all from the kit and there is loads more in the kit that I havent used... Yet!!

But that is all from me for today.
Many thanks for popping by and for any comments left behind.

Dragons Lair Design - A Taste of Summer - June guest spot

Hello Blogger Friends..

Im delighted to once again having been asked to do a guest spot for
Dragons Lair Design.
Im a HUGE fan of Janette's Digital Design and have been working for her for years but for personal reasons had to scale back from being a full time DT and DT leader.
Im back in the swing again and delighted to have been invited back to the team this month to share my first of 3 post.

For this post I have used the Digital kit called "A taste of Summer".
Just pop over to the digital STORE and you'll find the kit right there on the front page ;-)

Please forgive the white blob. My children has requested not to have their pictures posted on social media anymore.

Anyway, Once I printed the sheets I wanted I made the little rosettes using my Tim Holtz die. The big one in the middle (background) is actually part of the kit and is printed out.

The rest was simply laying and glueing.
All the letters are from my stash as are the gems.

And that is all from me for today.

May showcase for Dragons Lair Design..

Hello Blogger Friends

Today I want to share a few cards I've made with the brand new digital kit from
Dragons Lair Design.

The kit is called "Butterfly Garden". Brand new for May.
Find this kit and all the other amazing digital products in the STORE.

Both cards are made in 8x8.
I simply printed the elements I wanted from the kit (I copy and paste into word) and started creating.
I do love the lack of storage space you need when using a digital kit. I need no extra space bar on my pc. And I waste nothing as I only print what I want to use.. Love it..

Anyway.. there are TONS more elements in the kit then the ones I've used so make sure to pop over on the Dragons Lair Design blog or the Facebook group.

But that is all from me for today.
Many thanks for popping by and for any comments left behind.

Dragons Lair Design - April Kit Inspiration 2

Hello again..

A while back, my friend Janette, from Dragons Lair Design, asked me to make a couple of samples for her brand new digital kit released on 1st April. I got strait to work..Its such a yummy kit. The kit is just perfect for those who long for spring and warmth. The colours are just fabulous and there are TONS more elements in the kit that I havent used, so make sure you check it out..
The kit is called Artistic Expresion and you can find it in the store with all the other amazing kits and digital stamps.

Here is my second set of samples.

Both cards are made by simply click and print.
I simply printed the papers and elements I wanted to use (I copy and paste into a Word document and print from there, I find it the easiest and I'm able to re-size in there.)
After that it was a simple matter of cutting and creating..
On the bottom card I have used a stencil with white embossing powder and my sentiments is a stamp from my stash, stamped with black Archival ink.

And that's it from me for today.
Thank you for popping by and for any comments left behind.

Dragons Lair Design - Inspiration - Sarah Collection.

Hi everyone..

I havent been active for a quite some time on the DT for
Dragons Lair Design but the other day I decided it was time to have a play again.

For today Ive used the "Sarah" Collection.
You can find it in the STORE with all the other digital goodies.

Ive made yet another A4 scrappage. I just love making these. As they are smaller then my usual 12x12 LO's, I  often find them much quicker to do. Something I really love.

Apart from the green doily, the gems and my backing A4 sheet everything else on the page is from the kit.

And that is all from me for today. I hope you like what Ive made.
Thank you for popping by and for any comments left behind.

Dragons Lair Design Challenge - "Anything goes"

Heeeelllooooo...

The new challenge has gone live over on

The theme for this month is
"Anything goes"

For this month Ive made a little card using the image called "Floral Horse"
You can find this image and all the other fantastic images and papers over in the STORE...

Here is what Ive made:

I went for a little monochrome card for this month..  It was one I made one day i was just sitting having a play. The idea for the monochrome came cause I didnt feel like colouring that given day but I wanted to play. So instead I covered the image with glitter. The rest just followed..

And that is all from me for today. Hope to see you all over on the challenge.

Dragons Lair Inspiration..

Hello fellow bloggers..

Its my turn to share a bit of inspiration over on
The Dragons Lair Inspiration blog.
Today I have used the image called "Bedtime Girl" &
The papers called "Dream Baby"
You can find both in the STORE...

Here is what I have made:
A simple card  of matting and layering, smothered in distress ink.

I printed "bedtime girl" on watercolour card stock and coloured with distress markers.

I mattet and layered my papers after distressing the edges.
THe little greeting is a freebie from a magazine. It looked perfect once it got a spot of distress ink.

My flower is one I pulled from my stash. It is originally a closed flower but the wire in the petels, allowed my to open the flower up.

And that is al from me for today.
Thank you for popping by and for any comments left behind.

Dragons Lair Design Challenge "Anything but a card"

Good morning everyone..

Its time for the new challenge over on
The Dragons Lair challenge blog.
aka Stamping with the dragon..

Yep we are having a name change.. Well, really we are going back to our original name. Why?? well because we are so much more then just digital stamps. Our designer, Janette Padley, originally started out creating digital vintage papers. As her company grew, she started drawing our dragon family and decided to go with the stamping dragon name.. But now that our dragon family is well established, we decided to bring some of the focus back on the vintage papers and with that our original name of
The Dragons Lair.

The theme for this months challenge is:
"Anything but a card".

For my project this month, I have used the "Home tweet Home" collection.
You can find it in the STORE...

Here is what I have made for this months challenge:

This started out as a jar of jam that my husbamd and kids soon devouvered.
I have made a few of these jars over the last year and I have to say I really like making them.

I simply printed and cut out all the elements from the kit before adding them to the jar with double sided tape.
The flowr on the top is also from the kit. I simply just printed the flower sheet in several sizes before shaping and layering up with glue gel.

The only thing I added to the kit, was the lace and the glitter glue.

And that is all for today.
Thank you for popping by and for any comments left behind.
